A Rock Hill man reported to police that his stove, refrigerator and set of four chrome rims were stolen from his home while he was in jail, a Rock Hill Police Department report states.
The man, 25, called police Tuesday to claim that an unknown person pried open a bedroom window to get in the house on Bynum Avenue. The refrigerator and stove, each valued at $200, were taken from inside the home and the rims from the porch where the wheels were stacked, the man claimed.
The victim told officers that he was in jail at the time of the burglary and wanted crime scene technicians to process the home. Online court records show that the man was released from jail Monday after being sentenced to time served on a charge in magistrate court in Fort Mill.
Detectives are working the case but no arrests have been made.
