A 23-year-old Rock Hill man was accused of driving under the influence with a 2-year-old in his Hyundai SUV, according to Rock Hill police.
Brandon Charles Griggs was arrested Jan. 28 after a motorist told police she saw a man who appeared to be intoxicated inside a gas station on South Anderson Road. The motorist, who called police, followed the man to a house on Sturgis Street. The SUV was weaving along the way, the motorist told police.
Officers arrived at the Sturgis Street residence and contacted Griggs, who admitted taking a dosage of methadone earlier that morning, according to the report. Officers conducted several field sobriety tests on Griggs, who could not complete any of them, the report said.
Griggs was charged with first offense driving under the influence, driving under the influence with child endangerment, and fourth offense driving under suspension, according to the report. He previously was convicted of driving under suspension in August 2010, April 2012, and January 2013.
