Couple steals computer from Rock Hill Walmart using dog food as ruse

A man stole an expensive computer and monitor from a Rock Hill Walmart Friday after using a bag of dog food as cover for the stolen electronics, according to a police report.

Employees told Rock Hill Police Department officers that the suspect pushed the cart with a Hewlett-Packard computer worth $900 and a monitor worth $300 through the store with the $20 bag of dog food on top. They waited for a greeter to move away from the exit, then walked out without paying, according to a police report.

The suspect then pushed the cart to a waiting blue Dodge Durango SUV where he yelled out to the female driver: “I got it. Let’s go!”

Despite employees getting the tag number there have not yet been any arrests.
