Rock Hill police: Kids in the car and an impaired mom driving. Then things got rough.

A 28-year-old woman from Huntersville, N.C. is charged with driving while impaired with four children in the car, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Tierra Wilson has been charged with driving under the influence, assaulting a police officer and four counts of child endangerment, the report states.

At 2:06 p.m. on Saturday, a police officer pulled Wilson over for speeding off Saluda Road in Rock Hill and allegedly smelled alcohol on her breath, the report states. The officer said in the report that Wilson failed field sobriety tests and was charged with a DUI. She refused to take a breathalyzer test, according to the report.

Wilson was driving with four young children in her car, the report states. The children’s ages are not listed on the report.

Wilson allegedly refused to walk to the officer’s car and continued to be disorderly after she was taken to the jail, the report states. Wilson kicked an officer in the stomach and was charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. Officers said in the report that Wilson “had to be shackled to the bench” in her holding cell “due to her disorderly behavior.”

The children’s father was called to pick them up, the report states.
