No chump change: $4.7K in coins stolen from Rock Hill garage

A grand larceny case in Rock Hill involves stolen money - $4,700.

The change had been saved for decades.

A man who lives on Hastings Court reported Thursday that six boxes of rolled coins he had ferreted away was stolen, a Rock Hill Police Department report shows.

The man and his family had dutifully saved the change and rolled it, then stored the boxes on a shelf in the garage.

Detectives are investigating, but the change has not been found, and no arrests have been made.
