A Richburg man has been arrested in the May 16 armed robbery of the Dollar General store on South Anderson Road in Catawba, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Dealiso Marise Beatty, 29, was booked into the York County Detention Center at 9 p.m. Friday. He has been charged with armed robbery with a deadline weapon and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
The robbery happened just before 10 p.m. May 16 as two employees were closing the store, according to an incident report. The male employee said that after checking out two customers, he felt someone stick a gun at his back. He looked behind him and saw a man holding a gun.
The robber also ordered the clerk to give him money.

The clerk said the robber tried unsuccessfully to open the safe behind the counter, then grabbed a female clerk by the arm and took her to the office in the back of the store, deputies said. The female clerk said the man fled the store on foot after noticing there was no money in the back office.
Two customers who were leaving the store during the robbery told deputies they saw the robber flee in a car parked in a corner of the parking lot. A third witness outside the store said the vehicle appeared to be a gray sedan.
