Report: Rock Hill woman attacked, sexually assaulted in home invasion

staff reports

A Rock Hill woman told police three men broke into her home, tied her up, sexually assaulted her and then tried to rob her.

Rock Hill Police received several calls around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday about a woman screaming for help in the Steed Street area. They found the woman with a swollen eye and lip, along with several cuts on her face. She was “very shaken up,” a police report states.

The woman said three men stormed into her home through the back door. They tied her hands with a yellow rope and then sexually assaulted her, the report states.

They reportedly demanded she “tell them where the money was,” saying her “baby daddy had left her some money and they wanted it.”

The victim told police her attackers tried to take her to their car, but she yelled and managed to get away.

She ran to a neighbor’s home and called police.

A witness told officers she saw a car occupied by three men leave the area.

Police collected the rope, clothing and several other items for evidence. The woman was taken to Piedmont Medical Center.

An arrest has not been made.
