Driver cited after pickup vs. motorcycle crash in Rock Hill
The driver of a pickup was charged after hitting a motorcyclist Wednesday afternoon, according to Rock Hill police.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. at East Main Street and Pinewood Lane, police said. Investigators say the driver of the pickup turned left from East Main Street toward the entrance at Belleview Square Shopping Center. The pickup turned into the path of the motorcycle, striking it.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, Capt. Mark Bollinger said. The driver’s condition was not available Thursday.
The pickup driver, 74-year-old Carolyn Ferrell, was cited for failure to yield the right of way and released.
