Fifth assistant principal named at Rock Hill High
Christopher Chandler, a history teacher at Rock Hill High School since 2004, will become the school’s fifth assistant principal.
Chandler has taught history classes including Advanced Placement and college-level dual credit courses through York Technical College. He also has been involved the district’s selection of technology devices and the training of teachers.
Chandler’s appointment was approved Monday by the Rock Hill school board. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history and a master’s degree in educational leadership, all from Winthrop University.
Chandler completed two administrative internships, at Rock Hill High and at Pinewood Elementary School in Charlotte.
Chandler will begin his new position on July 1.
