Presidential finalist visits Winthrop Friday
Winthrop University will host one of its three presidential finalists Friday in a public presentation during which he will take questions.
Dan Mahony, a professor and dean at Kent State University, is the second finalist to visit campus as the university gets closer to naming its 11th president. The event will be in Whitton Auditorium in Carroll Hall, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The third finalist to visit will be Alan Shao, a dean at the College of Charleston. He will hold a public event from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. March 3 in Whitton Auditorium.
Jeff Elwell of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga visited Winthrop earlier this week.
