Clover High School has had some year.
On Friday, the Clover Choraliers, the school's exceptional choral group, won the 2008 South Carolina Choral Concert Festival in Columbia. It was Clover High's third state title this year.
Both the football team and band took top honors in the fall. It was the first state football title in the school's history.
Winning, however, is nothing new for the Choraliers. The group has won several state choral competitions in the past, including last year when the Choraliers tied for first place with Rock Hill's Northwestern High School.

Choral director Jay Forrest appears to abide by the rule that success is more the result of perspiration than inspiration.
"It's a dose of student talent, maybe a dose of teacher drive, but it's 99 percent just hard work," he said.
We're certain that his talent and that of the students played a slightly higher role than he modestly concedes.
Congratulations to all on this distinguished honor and to Clover High for its third state championship.
