FORT MILL -- Quintarious Long's 11 points led a balanced South Pointe attack as the Stallions topped Nation Ford 63-25 in the Region 3-AAAA boys basketball opener for both squads.
Diami Gilmore chipped in 10 points for the Stallions. In all, six players finished the game with seven or more points for South Pointe.
Shawndell Payton scored 12 points to lead the Falcons' effort.
• CHESTER 70, CAMDEN 51 -- Chester used a steady effort in the first three quarters to build a confortable lead then cruise to a boys basketball victory over Camden.
By the end of the third period, the Cyclones had amassed a 27 point lead at 60-33 by scoring 18 in the first quarter, 21 in the second, and 21 in the third
Jemarcus McClinton led to Cyclones with 28 points. Donald Sims added 18 and Xavier Mayfield chipped in 12 for the Cyclones.
• GREAT FALLS 62, ANDREW JACKSON 50 -- The Red Devils' balanced attack outlasted Andrew Jackson in a boys basketball game.
Desmar Anderson led three Great Falls players in double figures with 16 points. Jeremy Simpson added 15, and Leroy Roseboro had 10.
