Rock Hill teams claim state titles

Four Rock Hill football teams swept titles Saturday in the S.C. Athletic Playgrounds state All-Star championship games at District Three Stadium.

Rock Hill teams won the titles in the 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-year-old divisions.

In the 9 and under division, Rock Hill held on for a 12-6 win over Goose Creek in double overtime. Muhsin Love scored on fourth and goal from outside the 1-yard line to pick up the victory. Love also scored from more than 50 yards out before halftime.

Rock Hill rolled in the 10 and under division, beating Mount Pleasant 26-0. The 11 and under team from Rock Hill also beat Mount Pleasant, holding on for a 8-0 shutout victory.

Rock Hill won the 12 and under title with a 24-12 victory over the Tri-County All-Stars.
