ROEBUCK -- Led by Mary Kate DuBard, Northwestern's girls won the Cavalier Classic Invitational cross country meet on Saturday at Dorman High School.
DuBard, a senior, covered the course in 18:22, beating second-place Tameka Jackson from Seneca High School by 39 seconds.
Northwestern finished third in the 10-team meet with 80 points. Dorman edged Boiling Springs 45-46 and won the title.
Other Northwestern runners in the top 20 were Sarah Baker in 13th and Rachel Summers in 18th place.

Dorman also won the boys' tournament, outdistancing second-place Northwestern 47-68.
David Faircloth led the Trojans' runners with an eighth-place finish in 17:12. All five Northwestern scorers placed in the top 20.
Broome's Stephan Shealy was the boys' meet champion with a 15:38.
Northwestern's Spencer Cote won the boys' JV race in a time of 17:58.0 in leading the Trojans to first place with 23 points.
Nation Ford used a strong showing in the relays to win both the boys and girls team titles at the Region 3-AAAA swim meet at the Rock Hill aquatics center.
Fort Mill grabbed second place in the boys competition, while South Pointe finished second in the girls. Northwestern finished in third place in both boys and girls team events.
