• Why he likes wrestling: Because it's one-on-one and there's no other person on the mat who can mess him up. It's up to him if he wins or not.

• Honors: Class AAAA state champion

• Why he likes wrestling: It's a family sport. It's the hardest sport in the world and not everybody can do it. He feels proud every time he wins a match, which was 56 times this season.

• Why he likes wrestling: It's one-on-one, just you and your opponent. The only person you have to depend on in a match is yourself.

• If you could meet anyone?: Ronald Reagan. He was a great leader and president who did a lot of good for our country.

• Why he likes wrestling: He says wrestling is the only sport he was good at when he was little. He stuck with it and became Clover's first state champ in Class AAAA.

• Why he likes wrestling: He says it keeps him in shape and is a good sport because it comes down to one-on-one.

• Record: 29-3, 6-1 Region 3-AAAA (first year)

• Honors: Upper State duals title, runner-up at state duals

• Family: Wife Christina, daughters Ariana and McKenna

• Background: Wrestled at East Gaston (N.C.) High School, where he was 98-15-3. Wrestled at UNC-Greensboro and Gardner-Webb. Came to Rock Hill from Bunker Hill (N.C.) High School, where he was 46-24 in two seasons. Earned his master's at Pembroke State, where he worked as a graduate assistant for the wrestling team.
