The South Pointe girls’ golf team won the 2014 Pink Tournament on Tuesday at Newberry Country Club.
The Stallions turned in a team score of 310 and defeated second-place Lexington by three strokes. Lexington won the 4A state championship last year.
“This was a big win for us,” said South Pointe coach Kimberly Case. “Beating Lexington was huge.”
The Northwestern Trojans finished 18th in the 21-team field at this year’s tournament.

The Stallions’ Jaelyn Tindal finished second overall, while teammate Whitney Carter tied for fourth.
