The boys and girls teams at Lancaster and South Pointe high school all finished in the top 20 Saturday at the state Class 3A state championship meet in Columbia.
The Lancaster girls team finished 13th and the school’s boys team finished 14th. South Pointe’s girls placed 17th and the boys were 20th.
South Pointe’s Claire Holliday earned a bronze medal and all-state swim honors. She finished third in the girls 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:10:68. She also finished fifth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 59:12. She broke the South Pointe record in both events.
