The South Pointe Stallions begin their first postseason in the Class AAA ranks on Friday by hosting Eastside. South Pointe won the Region 4-AAA championship and finished the regular season with a 9-1 record. Eastside finished fourth in Region 2-AAA and owns an overall record of 2-8.
The winner of Friday's game will play either Clinton or Daniel on Nov. 12.
Indian Land's remarkable season has earned the team a home game against the Columbia Capitals in the Class AA playoffs. The Warriors, 9-1, moved up to AA this season. Their only loss was against Region 4-AA champ Central. Columbia, the third-place team out of Region 3-AAA, is 6-4 on the year.
The winner of this game gets a date with either Palmetto or Emerald in the second round.
Great Falls, 7-3, will open the Class A Division II postseason at home against Southside Christian. The Red Devils were second in Region 3-A. The Crusaders were fourth in Region 2-A and have a 3-7 record.
Chester (6-4) and Fort Mill (5-5) will also open the Class AAA playoffs on Friday. The two teams wrapped up Region 4-AAA play in third and fourth, respectively. Chester will play at Wade Hampton while Fort Mill is also on the road at Greenville.
The Wade Hampton Generals and the Greenville Red Raiders are both out of Region 2-AAA and own overall records of 9-1. Greenville was unbeaten in the region.
All playoff games will begin with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
