Two Rock Hill football products will participate in the 2018 NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis.
Former Rock Hill Bearcat Jaleel Scott and former Northwestern Trojan Mason Rudolph will show off their skills and meet with teams during the event that runs from Feb. 27 to March 5.
Both players head into the draft season with full heads of steam.
Scott had a huge redshirt senior season at New Mexico State, catching 76 passes for 1,078 yards and nine touchdowns, and making several SportsCenter-worthy grabs. The 6-foot-5 former Bearcat went to Ellsworth Community College out of high school, but after a couple years in the relative wilderness of Iowa/Kansas junior college football emerged at New Mexico State. He had a quiet junior season, catching 23 passes and five TDs, before exploding his senior year.

Rudolph capped a fine career at Oklahoma State, leading the Cowboys to 32 wins in his 41 starts. Rudolph rewrote the school’s record book, setting over 50 new single season and career marks. He finished his college career with 13,618 passing yards and 92 touchdowns, with just 26 interceptions in 1,447 throws.
NFL scouts are drawn to Rudolph’s success at the college level, his consistency and his solid physical traits. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound signal-caller should also do well in one-on-one interviews with NFL front office folks and is widely considered a
Scott and Rudolph also were involved in the Senior Bowl in late January, their first of many opportunities to get in front of NFL scouts and coaches this year. Scott practiced throughout the week and played in the game, but Rudolph was limited to meeting with teams while he recovered from a foot injury, but he should be good to go for the combine later this month.
The entire week of combine activity will be televised by the NFL Network. Find the full list of players invited to the NFL Draft Combine here and the week’s schedule here.
