PMC names new human resources officer
Elizabeth Elich has been named the new chief human resources officer at Piedmont Medical Center.
Elich comes to PMC from Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, N.C., where she served as chief human resources officer since 2006. In that role, she helped reduce workplace injuries.
Her expertise includes a background in nursing. She has worked as a critical care staff nurse and a critical care instructor. She has also served as a director of clinical affiliations, nursing and allied health recruitment.
Elich holds a master’s degree in human resources from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University.

▪ Mark Harris of Tega Cay has been named vice president of risk management at Family Trust Federal Credit Union of Rock Hill.
Harris will manage audit, compliance, security, facilities and enterprise risk management. He has an MBA and bachelor’s degree in business administration from Winthrop University.
Previously he was assistant vice president of audit and compliance. Harris received the certified risk manager designation from the National Association of Federal Credit Unions in 2015.
▪ Sports Medicine Associates at Sutton Road in Fort Mill recently held an open house and ribbon cutting. The practice offers primary care sports medicine and treatment for a wide range of sports-related injuries, including concussions, should injuries, bone contusions and muscle strains for patients of all ages in this growing community. Dr. Smitha Ballyamanda, a board-certified physician, leads the practice.

▪ The Children’s Attention Home recently honored Silcotech Carolina Inc. for its holiday collection drive. The Children’s Attention Home provides emergency shelter and long-term residential care for abused, abandoned, and neglected children.
