One dead, one injured in Rock Hill crash

A 36-year-old man was killed and another man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of Ogden Road shortly before midnight Thursday, Rock Hill police said.

Officers and EMS workers who responded to the wreck at 11:38 p.m. Thursday found the deceased man had been thrown from his vehicle. The York County Coroner’s office later identified the man as Alvin Chisholm, age 38, a resident of Chester County who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, 26, also was thrown from the vehicle and was trapped underneath, police said. The injured man was extricated and flown to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte for treatment of life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Further information was not available. The sequence of events and information about who was driving are still being investigated by the police.
