A 34-year-old Lancaster man died Sunday night in a head-on crash on U.S. 21 near Catawba River Road in Chester County.

Troopers say a 30-year-old North Carolina woman driving a Honda sedan crossed the center line at about 7:10 p.m. and hit a Mercury sedan.

Jermaine Chandler, 34, of Faile Street in Lancaster, was a passenger in the Mercury, according to Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker. He was airlifted to Palmetto Health Richland, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Both drivers were injured.

The crash remains under investigation and charges have not yet been filed.
