▪ The Palmetto Council of Boy Scouts’ annual “Scouting for Food” drive will start Saturday when Scouts drop off donation bags and information in area neighborhoods. Scouts will collect the bags Nov. 14. All items will be donated to local food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens.
▪ TirzahFest will be 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at Tirzah ARP Church, Mount Gallant Road, York. Breakfast biscuits will be available 8-10:30 a.m. and Thanksgiving lunch with all the trimmings from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be vendors, frozen casserole meals, baked good, canned goods and crafts.
▪ The 13th annual Holiday Market Craft and Gift vendor sale will be 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Westminster Towers Heritage Hall, 1330 India Hook Road, Rock Hill. Craft and gift vendors will offer jewelry, accessories, Christmas items, cosmetics and door prizes.

▪ AARP Drivers Safety Program will be offered for ages 26 and older, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Toyota of Rock Hill, 640 Galleria Blvd. Participants will get a certificate that may reduce the insurance rate on collision and liability coverage and is good for three years. Hunger relief
▪ The Second Harvest Partners, sponsored by Providence Presbytery, will have a hunger relief site, 9 a.m. Friday at Hermon Presbyterian Church, 107 Heckle Blvd., Rock Hill. ▪ The Rock Hill Youth Council grant program deadline is Nov. 13. The program awards grants of up to $500 to youth-led projects. Lieutenant Flipper’s Trial, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. This one-act, mini-play performed by Bob Rogers, dramatizes Lt. Henry O. Flipper’s 1881 court-martial and draws the audience into the controversy about whether Flipper was treated fairly before, during and after the trial. In 1877, Flipper was the first African-American to graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Call 803-981-5845 to register.
Tabletop Gaming for Teens and Adults, 2:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday, will focus on Mensa Select award-winning games like Kulami, Hive, Forbidden Island and Qwirkle, among others. For teens and adults; children must be accompanied by an adult. Registration not required.

Volunteers
▪ The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program needs volunteers to help low-income, elderly and handicapped taxpayers prepare income tax returns. Volunteers will be trained by the Internal Revenue Service, N.C. and S.C. Departments of Revenue to prepare basic tax returns. Training is free and is offered to volunteers who are willing to learn to prepare 1040A, 1040EZ, and the basic 1040 forms with schedule A and B. Training will include filing on computers. Training will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Jan. 11-15 at Rock Hill City Hall in the wellness center on the first floor. Volunteers can choose hours and days they wish to work. ▪ The Rock Hill High School class of 1959 will meet 1 p.m. Tuesday for lunch and fellowship at the Golden Corral on Anderson Road, Rock Hill. All classmates, spouses and friends are welcome.
