2 charged in Rock Hill burglary, kidnapping

Rock Hill Police have arrested two men in connection with a burglary and kidnapping earlier this week.

Javarus Hayden, 24, of Lancaster and Antroyne Barnette, 36, of Rock Hill were arrested Tursday and charged in connection with a Monday morning burglary on Favorwood Drive, according to Rock Hill Police spokesperson Mark Bollinger.

The suspects reportedly used a shotgun to burglarize the home and kidnap two victims in the incident, a Rock Hill Police report states. One of the victims has a child in common with a suspect.

Hayden was wanted out by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office for attempted murder. Officials say Hayden allegedly shot a 62-year-old man mutliple times on Nov. 6.

Barnette and Hayden are both charged with two counts of pointing and presenting a firearms at a person and kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, criminal conspiracy, and burglary first degree.

Both their bonds have been denied.
