Accused Rock Hill armed robber found hiding under mattress
A Rock Hill man wanted in connection to an armed robbery last March was found this weekend hiding under a mattress.
On March 17, a woman reported that Denzel King, 27, came into her home on Fargo Street and pointed a gun at her while he robbed her friend, according to a Rock Hill Police report.
He fled the scene in an older Crown Victoria before police arrived. Warrants were issued for his arrest.
On Saturday, officers went to a home on Paxton Street to investigate a possible shooting. They found King hiding under a mattress in one of the back rooms, according to a report.
King was arrested and charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon, criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, and other drug and weapons charges. He is held at the Moss Justice Center on a $90,000 bond.
