One dead in one-car crash near Rock Hill

One person died in a one-car wreck Saturday morning on Billy Wilson Road near Rock Hill, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The driver of a 2008 Honda Accord died at the scene, Cpl. Bill Ryan said.

Ryan said the crash happened about 6:40 a.m. when the car, driving west on Billy Wilson Road, ran off the right-hand side of the road. The car struck multiple trees and caught fire.

The driver has not been identified by the York County Coroner’s Office.
