York County drug agents levied several criminal charges against three Rock Hill residents and a Fort Mill woman this weekend after narcotics investigators learned they were selling drugs to local college students, according to police.

Two of the accused drug dealers spent the weekend in jail, each facing more than one dozen drug charges. Two others face lesser charges.

Authorities have charged Brian Keith Beatty, 22, with possession of marijuana, possession of bath salts, distribution of drugs, and various other drug charges, according to York County Sheriff’s Office police records. Beatty is accused of selling drugs from his home on Ebenezer Avenue, which is located near Winthrop University.

Marvin Brown, commander of the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit, says Beatty and others were selling “high-grade marijuana” to nearby college students and other people.

Drug enforcement officers also arrested Monica Lacey Mims, age 20, records show. Mims faces 14 criminal charges, including possession of marijuana and bath salts, police reports show.

Mims and Beatty are listed on police records as living at 403 Ebenezer Ave. in Rock Hill.

Brown says York County officers conducted three undercover investigations at the home last month. During a search of the house late last week, police confiscated illegal mushrooms – called psilocybin – marijuana, heroin, and bath salts, he said.

A Winthrop Campus Police officer who works with the drug enforcement team helped during the raid, Brown said.

Beatty and Mims have also been jailed in York since Friday. Beatty’s bond is set at $54,000. Mims’ bond is set at $46,500.

A third Rock Hill resident was given a ticket for possession of marijuana after narcotics investigators searched the Ebenezer Avenue home last week, police reports state.

A Fort Mill resident – Kelsey Ann Mosley, 22 – was charged with possession of cocaine, second offense, according to the sheriff’s office’s website. Mosley has been in jail since Friday. Her bond has been set at $3,000.

Before arresting Beatty, Mims, and Mosley last week, undercover officers purchased drugs at the home, Brown said. During surveillance of the house, police saw several people entering the home to buy drugs, including some who appeared to be Winthrop students, he said.

The house had a “revolving door,” Brown said, with people coming and going to party and buy drugs.
