York man was shot at, then held at gunpoint after he ran away
A Clover homeowner held a York man at gunpoint until police arrived after he heard gunshots Monday, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office report.
The York man told police he and a woman were driving near Lawrence Road and Faulkner Road just before noon Monday when they were shot at by a man in a black Honda, the report says.
The man told police he pulled over, got out of the car and ran through the Clover homeowner’s front yard, the report says.
The Clover homeowner told police he came outside when he heard gunshots and saw the York man run into his barn. He drew his gun and ordered the man to the ground until police came, the report says.
The woman was still in the car and told police the black Honda looked like her ex’s car, but she didn’t want to press charges, the report says.
The York man later told police the man shooting at them was not the woman’s ex, the report says.
Deputies found three 9mm casings on Lawrence Road, the report says.
