Nation Ford gets Thursday night win

Patience Andrews had three first-half touchdowns as Nation Ford won its third straight game with a 56-27 win over Richland Northeast on Thursday night in high school football action.

The Falcons improve to 3-1 and begin region play next week against Northwestern.

The game marked the return of Nation Ford first-year coach Jake Bentley back to Columbia, where he was a starting quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2016-19.

Nation Ford trailed 8-7 early in the first quarter before Kanupp found Andrews for a 14-yard TD with 5:43 in the first quarter.

Andrews had two TD catches and a TD run in the first half. Canupp finished with three touchdown passes and Malachi Drayton had two TD runs.
