Hear cellist
Shana Tucker will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday at Clover School District Auditorium, 1625 S.C. 55 East. Tucker has termed her music Chamber Soul for its dual jazz and classical pedigrees. “I can’t deny the classical training; it inspires my cello sensibilities. But I like the thump of walking blues and old timey bass lines. It’s like a delicious coffee blend, bold and robust with subtle undertones of bittersweet. Something you can’t quite place, but it’s still good.” Tickets: $15. For information, call 803-222-8018 or go to clover.k12.sc.us/csd.
