Farmers market

Beginning its sixth season, Old Town Farmers Market Rock Hill will be open at 115 Caldwell St. The market offers seasonal produce, pastured meats, local honey, baked goods, plants, and handmade works by local artisans. Saturday’s market features live entertainment by Alan Barrington. Market hours are 5-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays through Aug. 29. Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism’s Summer Concert in the Park series kicks off with Tony Adams at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fewell Park, 1204 Alexander Road. The concerts are free and will be held the second Tuesday of each month through August. Bring a picnic and blanket or lawn chair. For information, call 803-329-5645.

The fifth annual Glencairn BloomFest will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 16 in the meadow at Glencairn Garden on Edgemont Avenue. The family event will feature plants, garden art, pottery, baskets and other garden-themed items for sale from a variety of vendors. There also will be a variety of activities for children as part of “National Kids to Parks Day.” There will be music and garden tours plus food available for purchase. Red Rose Festival

The sixth annual Red Rose Festival will be 6-10 p.m. May 15 and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. May 16 in downtown Lancaster. Headlining the festival is a Michael Jackson tribute band. Other events include outdoor concerts, arts, crafts, kids zone, car show by Memory Lane Cruisers, dog show by the Lancaster SPCA, photography contest by the Lancaster County Council of the Arts and roaming entertainment. This year’s festival will feature over 75 artisans, crafters, food vendors, as well as international, national and locally known music artists. ‘Woof to Wolf’

“From Woof to Wolf Family Day” will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 13 at the Museum of York County, at 4621 Mount Gallant Road, Rock Hill. This is a family friendly kickoff event for the new exhibit “Wolves and Wild Lands” at the Museum of York County. Admission for adults is $6, seniors $5, youths $3 and CHM members and ages 3 or younger are free.
