A monster-sized feature is coming to Carowinds this September.

The Fort Mill-based theme park will partner with world-famous Monster Jam monster truck tour to create a “full-throttle immersion,” experience, a recent press release said.

“After a successful run of the all-new Grand Carnivale international festival, we’re thrilled to bring another fantastic new event to our guests: Monster Jam Thunder Alley,” Lisa Stryker, a representative for Carowinds, said.

The feature will display some of Monster Jam’s most popular monster trucks where visitors can see them close up and snap pictures.

Guests also will have a chance to ride in a multi-passenger freestyle truck, with a choice between Monster Jam’s famous Grave Digger or Megalodon.

Thunder Alley includes new features such as the interactive Monster Jam Garge and Pit Stop Play Area.

Monster Jam Thunder Alley is free with park admission, and will be open Saturdays and Sundays September 11-October 10.

“We’re already seeing a lot of excitement from our guests on social media, and we can’t wait to open it up for their enjoyment,” Stryker said.
