'60s Model Pattie Boyd on Why She Wasn't Consulted on the Beatles Biopic

Pattie Boyd has revealed on a recent podcas tthat no one involved in the upcoming Beatles biopic has spoken to her about the four part movie series about the band. This is despite casting The White Lotusactress Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd herself.

"I might be completely wrong, but I would have thought it would be polite to mention it to me or let me know that they got someone who's going to be playing me," she said, per NME on the inaugural episode of Miss O'Dell: Abbey Road To Tulsa Time, hosted by Chris O'Dell.

The model first met George Harrison on the set of 1964's A Hard Day's Night, before marrying the guitarist in 1966. The pair split in 1977 after she had rumored liasons with Eric Clapton with whom she later married and he with Ringo Starr's wife Maureen Starkey.

The Sam Mendes directed films will tell the story of the iconic band from a different member's point of view. The films will see Paul Mescal play Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

"Don't you think they'd let me know? Well, I haven't been contacted by anyone. I could have really told them great stories. But I don't think they want to know. I think they want to create something that's completely different, like a different story," Pattie added.

Other actors cast in the series include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Shogun star Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono and Agatha Christie's Seven Dials actress Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey.

Boyd added that the upcoming biopics appear to have "nothing to do with the truth [and] nothing to do with what really happened because they don't want to talk to anyone who was there." Instead, she expected the four movies to be "the filmmaker's creation of what they think happened".

"I'm going to be a very good girl and not get grumpy and growly," she joked, before making a jibe at the director Mendes, whose previous films include American Beauty, Skyfall and 1917. "Somebody said he was famous. Apparently he's famous, this man."
