Martin Scorsese's Daughter, 26, Speaks Out After Cruel Online Comments About Her Appearance

Martin Scorsese's daughter is speaking out after a wave of negative comments about her appearance circulated online. Francesca Scorsese, who's pursuing a career in acting, shared her feelings in a candid video.

"I think if you go on people's videos and you seek out negativity, you are a very, very sad person," the actress, 26, said on TikTok. "Comparing me to a fridge or Miss Piggy or saying I have a face for radio and that I'm incredibly ugly and fat … I'm not the most beautiful girl in the world. I'm not the skinniest girl in the world. I'm chubby, I know it. But, like, what the f--- does it matter?"

"I don't understand how hard it is to be a kind human being," she continued.

"There's so many trolls and so many bots and people that just go on to just try to ruin somebody's day or make somebody feel like s---," she added. "This is the kind of thing that causes people to lose their lives ... Your words have power behind them."

TikTok users were quick to show Francesca support.

"You are literally so gorgeous. The internet is disgusting," one person wrote.

"I disagree. I think you're stunning. And your personality makes you even more attractive. People who post mean things think mean things about themselves," someone else said.

"It's not about you honey, it's about them. Their life. There is so much miserable life out there… don't hate them being jealous of you, this is the only thing they have. Sad but true tho… keep shining Francesca," a third comment read.

Francesca returned to the post to add a comment of her own, taking a minute to thank the public for their support.

"There are so many lovely comments on here and I can't respond to you all but I am taken aback by the love and support and I just want to say I love and appreciate all of you. Thank you," she wrote.
