Community theaters

▪ Playwright Elaine Alexander’s comedy “Life as We Know It,” a series of six short comedies, will be performed 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Hill Community Theatre, 546 S. Cherry Road, behind ROC. Tickets are $15, adults; $12, senior and students; $2 off matinees. Recommended for adults. Passes not valid. The show sold out in Cornelius and Fayetteville. Alexander’s comedy “A Southern Girl’s Got To Have It” premiered last summer in Rock Hill.

▪ Fort Mill Playhouse presents “October Daisies,” 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and June 23-25 and 3 p.m. Sunday and June 26 at 220 Main St. Tickets: $16, adults; $13, students; available at Tega Cay Pharmacy and Crossings on Main. Concert

Downtown Live Concert featuring “Pocketful of Strange” will be 5:30-9:30 p.m. on the lawn at the Greater York Chamber of Commerce, 23 E. Liberty St. The four-piece group plays rhythm & blues, soul and classic rock. Food and beverages are available. Free and open to the public. Bring blankets. Auditions

The Carolina Renaissance Festival will hold open auditions 9 a.m.-noon Saturday and June 25 at the Cannon School, 5801 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, N.C. The audition call is for actors, entertainers, musicians, performers and colorful personalities to inhabit the festival’s make-believe Village of Fairhaven. Amateur and professional opportunities are available. Audition registration is available online at Carolina.RenFestInfo.com. The festival runs weekends Oct. 1-Nov. 20.

Sunday, June 19

Drum Corps

Carolina Crown Drum Corps will perform its 2016 show at 7:30 p.m. at Nation Ford High School, Fort Mill, to help the Nation Ford Band celebrate its invitation to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. The kickoff starts at 6 p.m. with concessions. Fans can come by the school during the day to watch rehearsals.

Concert series

The Anne Springs Close Greenway summer concert series features Carolina Rhythm Band at 6:30 p.m. in the Comporium Amphitheater. Gates open at 6. Bring blankets, chairs and picnics. The concerts are free for Greenway members and $5 for nonmembers. Event parking is $5 per car; seasonal parking passes are $30 for members and $45 for nonmembers. Dinosaur maze

The Museum of York County will offer “Dinosaur Revolution Maze,” an interactive learning experience within a maze setting. A variety of dinosaur-themed activities and educational programs will be featured throughout the natural history museum through Sept. 10.
