In the dark… who knows what lurks? Why ghosties, ghoulies, goblins, beasties, monsters, and more will be on the loose for Halloween weekend. If your musical mission is to seek out a supernatural soundtrack for your Halloween endeavors, may we offer a few suggestions?
Submitted for your approval, The Carolina Rhythm Band, live Friday at The Endzone in Rock Hill. Touting a great Halloween party plus predictions of mysterious guests, this Fort Mill-based band offers up classic rock, beach hits, blues, even Motown sounds to entice and delight. Together 10 years, their collective musical roots reach back into the deep dark past with a lineup that includes: David Giles, lead vocals; Donnie Plyler, lead guitar/background vocals; Steve (Hollywood) Busbin, bass guitar/vocals; Len Rogers, drums and Jennifer Tankersley, vocals.
Expect a treasure trove of Top 40 hits and classic oldies to keep things wild and wondrous. Venture out further to encounter the intoxicating antics of The Rockaholics live Friday for the Halloween Bash at Casual Water in Tega Cay. An annual affair, find possibilities aplenty for a delightful fright night filled with hip activities.
The Rockaholics are an area favorite who will undertake a musical resurrection sharing their “diverse range of classic rock.” Don’t be shocked when a few original songs undoubtedly sneak into the night’s festivities.
The invite is calling out, “It’s time to put on your alter ego and join us if you dare, for,” what is promised to be “a good ol’ Halloween Scare” via The Rockaholics Friday for the Halloween Bash at Casual Water, 15083 Molokai Drive in Tega Cay. Shift into Halloween high gear with Outlaw Crow live Saturday for a full-on haunted throw-down at the Sylvia Theater in York.
Outlaw Crow unleashes high octane rock and “two-fisted, foot-stomping” thrills with bravado. Launched in 2014 and based in Charlotte, the band is relatively new to the area scene.
Outlaw Crow features Dangerous Dan Viands, drums/percussion/vocals; Bob Zilla, bass guitar/vocals; Howlin’ Johnny A., lead vocals/harmonica; and Dirty Wolfe, guitars. They will spotlight their debut recording titled “Let My People Crow.” This Halloween gathering will also includes a costume contest and door prizes.
