Members of the Rock Hill-based Chubby Knuckles – live Friday at Luke’s Sports Bar & Grill in Rock Hill – pride themselves on their audience-pleasing skills and party music dexterity.

Formed in 2012, the current lineup features Frank Sciandra, lead guitar/lead and backing vocals; David Sarn, drums and vocals and Wane Marett, bass. Their musical direction is classic rock, blues, funk, Motown, a touch of country to accomplish the band’s goal of being “all about groove and tone.”

Experience is plentiful and they are dedicated to their audience. Their goal is to “turn the night into a party for all to enjoy.” Oh and they “love taking requests.”

Vocal harmony

Vocal harmonies and soulful guitar highlight the gracious nature of Jody Edwards & Co. live Saturday at Original Empire Pizza in Rock Hill. The duo of Jody Edwards, guitar/vocals and Joanna Llambias, vocals, entertains their audiences with acoustic covers chosen from artists including Fleetwood Mac, Carly Simon, Train, Alison Krauss and The Beatles.

Edwards is the founder of the rock cover band Tantrum. Among his list of personal influences are Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, and Steve Lukather.
