What happens when a group of friends – a couple of bankers, a computer guy, a landscape architect, a trial lawyer, plus a brewmaster – have a great idea then put that plan into motion? For the answer, check out Legal Remedy Brewing in Rock Hill, celebrating their first anniversary – or ‘Beerthday Celebration,’ as they call it, happening this Saturday with a multi-part event including live music.
Oh sure, it sounds like a ‘walked into a bar joke’ at the start, with this bunch of guys plotting and planning, then converting a long vacant auto dealership into a custom craft brewery and pub.
The redo totally transformed the look of the property, and packed in patrons this first year, building a faithful following for a local brewery/pub that went from basement trials to reality in a relatively short time. With the brewery/pub there’s also cold storage for distribution, a cellar for barrel aged sour programs, plus expansion with an additional building (across the street in the former Varsity building) to house a canning line, plus more parking on their way to becoming “a place for co-workers, friends, and family – a sort of community living room – to bring us all together.”
So, be there to commemorate it all with Saturday’s ‘Beerthday’ Celebration at Legal Remedy Brewing. Doors open at noon, this party throwdown features a lush variety of music all day from a DJ as well as performances by local artists. The live music starts at 1 p.m. Here’s the lineup:
