Mary D. Mode White

ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Mary D. Mode White, 91, of 6088 Mount Gallant Road passed away Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at her home.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Tirzah ARP Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Steve Kirby officiating.

A native of Cleveland County, N.C., Mrs. White was a daughter of the late Lemuel L. Mode and the late Lottie Bell Queen Mode. She was a homemaker and a member of Tirzah ARP Church. She was the widow of Ed Andrew White.

Surviving are her son, Andrew White of Rock Hill; her daughter, Pansy W. Ligon of Fort Mill; her brother, Donald Mode of Rutherfordton, N.C.; two sisters, Ethel Richard of Cornelius, N.C., and Texie Wray of York; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service and at the home.
