S.C. Democratic presidential primary voter’s guide
Here’s a quick review of everything you need to know to vote in Saturday’s Democratic presidential primary, which features Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders:
Who can vote
Registered voters in South Carolina who did not vote in the Feb. 20 Republican presidential primary.
When to vote
Polling places are open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday. If you are in line to vote at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
Where to vote
Most residents in York, Chester and Lancaster counties will vote at their regular polling places. Not sure what precinct you live in or where your polling place is? Go to scvotes.org and click on “Check my voter registration.”
What to take to the polls
You will need to show one of the following photo IDs:
▪ S.C. driver’s license
▪ ID card issued by the S.C. Department of Motor Vehicles
▪ S.C. voter registration card with photo
▪ Federal military ID
▪ U.S. passport
If you can’t get a photo ID
Bring your non-photo voter registration card with you to the polling place. You may vote a provisional ballot after signing an affidavit stating you have a reasonable impediment to obtaining Photo ID
