▪ Carolina Gardens Senior Living at Rock Hill is offering a free Virtual Dementia Tour, 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at1785 Lexington Commons Drive. The tour is designed by Second Wind Dreams and allows caregivers to experience the life of a person living with dementia. RSVP to 803-207-8000 by Feb. 23.

▪ United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus of Washington, D.C., perform free at 8 p.m. March 1 at Clover School District Auditorium, 1625 S.C. 55 E., Clover. Select members of the Clover High Band and Choral programs will join the Army for a special selection and the Air Force Junior ROTC Color Guard will present the colors during the concert. ▪ Tickets are available to the annual Daddy/Daughter Dance, sponsored by The Rock Hill Parks, Recreation, & Tourism Department. “Spring Soiree” is 7-9 p.m. March 2 at Events at Manchester on Dave Lyle Boulevard in Rock Hill. The dance is for girls ages 4-12 and their dad or other adult. Light refreshments served. A drawing will be held to choose the Couple of the Evening. Tickets must be purchased in advance. ▪ “A Wedding Fair To Remember,” presented by the Woman’s Club of Rock Hill, is 1-5 p.m. Feb. 25 at the clubhouse, 607 Aiken Ave., Rock Hill. The event will showcase the area’s finest wedding suppliers with products and services, including bridal wear, stationery, stylish menswear, flowers, hair, transportation, jewelry, favors, gifts and wedding cakes. Brooke Bauer is scheduled to speak on Catawba Women in a World of Transformation 1746-1840. Brooke Bauer is a citizen of the Catawba Indian Nation of South Carolina and an assistant professor at the University of South Carolina Lancaster.

Seminar

▪ Plant expert and author Allan Armitage is keynote speaker Feb. 24 for 13th Joy of Gardening Symposium at Gateway Conference Center, Richburg. Armitage, professor of horticulture emeritus at University of Georgia, has written 16 books including “Of Naked Ladies and Forget-Me-Nots: Stories Behind Common Names of Some of our Favorite Plants.” He will lead a breakout session on “Great Perennials for the Piedmont,” and his books will be available for sale. Other presenters include Patrick Larkin, executive director of Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden; Bill Rogers of Winthrop University, an authority on native birds; Clemson Extension horticulture agents Paul Thompson and Andy Rollins; and Todd Beasley, director of horticulture and facilities at Stowe Garden. Tax assistance

▪ Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program will open at Rock Hill City Hall in the Wellness Center for free tax-preparation assistance. Volunteers are IRS certified and trained by the SC and NC department of revenues. Volunteers will electronically file federal and states income tax returns.
