Debutante Club of Rock Hill presented 8 young women May 30

Eight young women were presented at the annual Debutante Club of Rock Hill Ball on May 30 at the Rock Hill Country Club. The 2014-2015 debutante season began with a tea at the home of Mrs. Christopher Marion Hicklin.

Mrs. Robert Wesley Hayes Jr., Debutante Club president, and Mrs. Frederick William Faircloth III, ball chairman, along with their husbands, received guests. Mrs. Forrest Craig Wilkerson introduced the debutantes, their escorts and marshals.

The debutantes presented were:

Virginia Gracen Barnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Milling Barnes Jr., was presented by her mother and escorted by her father. Her marshals were John Wriston Barnes and Donald Milling Barnes. She attends The Citadel.

Rebecca Elizabeth Bonham, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Douglas Edward Roberts and George Philip Bonham, was presented by her grandmother, Mrs. George Griffith Bonham, and escorted by her grandfather, Dr. George Griffith Bonham. Her marshals were Turner Andrews Bonham and Christopher Alan Taylerson Jr. She attends Wofford College.

Jane Marylynn Bunton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian Dean Harty, was presented by her grandmother, Mrs. Coleman Groves Poag, and escorted by her stepfather, Brian Dean Harty. Her marshals were Hunter Nicholas Harty and James Allen Fischer III. She attends the University of South Carolina.

Elizabeth Louise Ellis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Wellington Ellis, was presented by her grandmother, Mrs. Edwin Ladson Barnes, and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Ladson Brooks Ellis and Barnes Thomas Elliott. She attends the University of Virginia.

Daria Susannah Chandler London, daughter of Lt. Col. and Mrs. John Rutherford London III, was presented by her aunt, Mrs. Dewitte Gray McIntyre, and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Benjamin Edward Johnson and Samuel Stephen Victor London. She attends Pensacola Christian College.

Anna Rose Ramsey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilbert Ramsey, junior, was presented by her mother and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Craig Murray Ramsey and Jason Gilbert Ramsey. She attends the University of South Carolina–Lancaster.

Erica Lynne Sortet, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Todd Sortet, was presented by her grandmother, Mrs. Burnham Hartwell Perry, and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Lee Hartwell Perry and Jonathan Ellis Perry. She attends the University of South Carolina–Upstate.

Wesley Ann Turner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scott Turner, was presented by her aunt, Mrs. Ronald Keith Wallace, and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Neal Hilsman Adickes and Grayson McKinley Boatright. She attends the University of South Carolina.

The 2015 charitable contribution of The Debutante Club of Rock Hill will benefit Family Promise of York County.
