PlayStation Plus Offers EA Sports FC 26 Free for May Subscribers Alongside Two More Games
Just in time for the World Cup to come to North America this summer, Playstation Plus subscribers will be able to download EA Sports FC 26 at no extra charge.
That's not all, though: Member's of Sony's service can also download Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Nine Sols to satisfy those role-playing and action game itches.
All three games make up the Playstation Plus Monthly Games lineup for May that will be available on May 5.
Patience rewarded for FC fans
EA Sports FC 26 was released in late September, but folks who held off buying the newest version until now will be rewarded with access to the game for no extra cost if they subscribe to Playstation Plus.
That continues a trend for sports fans who subscribe to PlayStation Plus and can tolerate a bit of a wait to get their hands on the latest edition of popular franchises.
MLB The Show 25 was one of the monthly games last September while NHL 25 was available in July.
On top of that, Playstation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers get access to those downloads plus the Game Catalog, a rotating cast of games that currently includes Madden NFL 26, Football Manager 26 and Rugby 25 among other sports titles.

Those who download FC 26 through PS Plus in May will get the special add-on Playstation Plus Icons Pack to use in building their Football Ultimate Team, tournaments and live events.
For this year, Rivals and Champs modes have been refreshed, and the newest edition includes overhauled gameplay that includes two distinct playing styles: Authentic and Competitive, an attempt to answer past criticisms of players who found it hard to access either because of too much or too little realism.
In all, the newest edition of EA Sports FC includes more than 20,000 players, 750 clubs (including national teams) and more than 35 leagues playing in more than 120 stadiums.
Get some action
If you're not a sports fan, don't fret.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is an action RPG (third person) in the vein of Elden Ring or Lords of the Fallen. It allows players to take control of a female pirate warrior named Wuchang who is charged with mastering fighting styles, discovering hidden weapons and developing new skills (taken from vanquished enemies) to save the world in the final years of the Ming Dynasty in China.
Nine Sols puts players on a quest for vengeance in a 2D action-platform game with unique, hand-drawn visuals. (Think Metroid or Hollow Night.)
Nine Sols has a 94% positive ratings according to Metacritic while Wuchang: Fallen Feathers checked in with just 60% positive and an overall score of 74.
What is Playstation Plus?
Playstation Plus is a 3-tiered subscription service from Sony.
Players on the "Essential" plan get monthly game downloads, exclusive discounts, cloud storage, the ability to play against others online and other exclusive content.
Subscribers on the "Extra" tier get all that plus access to the Game Catalog and Ubisoft+ Classics.
People who go all the way up to the "Premium" tier get the above benefits plus access to the Classics Catalog, game trials and cloud streaming.
As of this writing, the monthly games for April are still available. That means subscribers can still download Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Lords of the Fallen and Sword Art Online Fracture Daydream until May 4.
