Take a Break and Watch This Pekingese Puppy Fall Asleep During His First Haircut
One of the best ways to kick back and relax is to head to the spa and get pampered head to toe.
Of course, not all of us can just take a day off and get the star treatment at the drop of a hat, but you can take a moment from your busy schedule to watch this adorable Pekingese pup getting a full shampoo and haircut.
He's so relaxed, he falls asleep, and it's too cute for words!

The cutesy ball of fluff is treated first to a quick hair clipping, freeing his paws from matted fur while his claws get clipped just a touch.
Next is a relaxing comb-through the fur before a warm bath and a scrub-down.
The Pekingese is absolutely glowing, his cloud-like fur blow-dried and lightly trimmed to perfection. His little eyes start drooping, and before you know it, he's fast asleep.

How Often Do Pekingese Need Haircuts?
These adorable fluff balls do require regular maintenance to stay happy, healthy and cute as a button.
It's recommended that Pekingese see a professional groomer every six to eight weeks. It's not just about looking nice. These dogs need regular paw pad and sanitary area trims to reduce the risk of matting.
Between salon visits, it's best practice to brush your Pekingese once a day to remove any dead hair about to fall out. They also need their facial wrinkles cleaned every day to prevent infections or irritation from dry skin.
If that wasn't enough, these pups also need their ears cleaned and checked about once a week or every other week.
Pekingese may be high-maintenance dogs, but they're oh-so cute! Good thing Lovely Grooming is on hand to show us the right way to pamper a Pekingese pup. If only we could spend a spa day like this!
