What is it with kittens and having the most beautiful eyes ever? They're still beautiful when they're adults, too, but there's just something so special about a kitten's eyes. They're almost always too big for their little faces, and it's just perfect.

For one Bengal cat, his eyes are one of his mom's favorite things about him. The second he looked into the camera, everyone lost it. He couldn't get more handsome if he tried:

Phoebe and the Crew are all a very pretty bunch, but Loki is special. Bengal kittens are wonderful: they go from being the sweetest, kindest, snuggliest kittens in the world to being actual demons. They remind you of their wild ancestry when you least expect it. In this video, Loki is sitting very nicely.

He has several cat siblings as well as three human sisters, and he most likely gets on all of their nerves. It's not his fault! Bengal cats need a ton of enrichment since they're incredibly high-energy, and even the best home will have moments where the cat's intrusive thoughts win.

He's growing up very nicely, and even though he can be a lot sometimes, he's still a very respectful boy. He knows better than to cross his sisters, even when one of them is pinning him down for bathtime:

His eyes look very nice there, even though he's looking off into the distance looking like he's praying for divine intervention. It had to be done, Loki!

Do Bengal Cats Have Better Vision?

Cat eyes are so beautiful, but as everyone knows, cats also have amazing vision. They're farsighted, with experts estimating that their vision is about 20/100. In the daytime, they have a wider field of vision, but it's not necessarily that much better than a human's. At night, however, cats can see much better!

Bengal cats don't have better vision than other cats: their vision is pretty much on par. However, there are some circumstances where a Bengal's eyes might actually be worse than those of other cats, like:

  • Unethical breeding, which is very common for Bengals, results in deformities.
  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy, which Bengals are prone to.

Before you get a big-baby-eyed Bengal cat, always make sure you've done your research into both the breed and the breeder. Luckily, Loki is a happy, healthy cat in a happy, healthy home!
