This Parrot's Morning Affirmations Are Better Than Yours
Talking birds can learn to say just about anything, which is why they're the coolest of cool. They're always watching, listening, and studying their people, so it's no surprise when they pick up something super cute. Some of them may even be your new inspiration for starting the day with some words of affirmation, so you can tackle the world.
Pickle Tickle, the Indian Ringneck Parrot, is the king of self-love. The talented, intelligent, and funny bird's words are sure to bring a smile to your face-and maybe inspire you to hype yourself up today, too.

Pickle Tickle, the Parrot, must've been a life coach in another life by the way he's mastered the art of affirmation. Repeating he's a "saweeeeet bird" sets the tone for the day, and honestly, it's something we should all be doing, so thanks, Pickle!
Getting hyped is part of Pickle's morning activities, but once he's feeling good and confident, he can intervene with his mischief-making bird siblings (Gertie, the beautiful yellow Parrot, is known as the resident boss). The growling, telling her to "get back," then joyfully peeing in her cage is 100% a power move, but he's so adorable, he gets a pass.
Thankfully, things resolved between Gertie and Pickle. That's life with big personality birds. But if Pickle says "it's OK," then it is!

Known as "a sweet and sour bird," this precious Parrot and his hilarious antics entertain more than 34k TikTok followers daily, and it's clear to see why.
These days, Pickle is sharing Mom more than usual, as his human sister's two birds, Poppy and Bubby, are visiting for a bit. She shared with fans that she was initially nervous about how things might go with so many personalities under one roof, but added that Pickle is doing great with his guests and the new dynamic with multiple birds in the house is going well!
He really is such a good boy, and his sweet words of affirmation are only a part of his vocabulary. Many wondered how many words he knows, and thanks to Mom, we get a snapshot of his vocal talents:
@pickle.tickle.the.irn Pickle Bird loves to talk and interact. He even picked up a new hello. A British version? He's super excited about oat groats and safflower seed. He only got a few. #parrot#ringneckparrot#talkingparrot#funnypets#birdtok

How Many Words Can Indian Ringneck Parrots Learn?
Parrots can learn to speak 250 words or more, which explains exactly how he landed on "it's OK" as his personal defense strategy. They're widely regarded as some of the greatest talking birds with a few distinct traits, including:
- Clarity: Their high-pitched words are easily understandable compared to other talking birds.
- Ability to understand context: They're not your average birds who mimic humans-they learn to associate phrases with actions.
- Evolving: Indian Ringneck Parrots begin mumbling between 7 and 9 months old and eventually evolve into speaking clear words.
Parrots learn to talk through repetition, positive reinforcement (treats or food), enthusiasm and inflection in our voices, and most of all, consistency.
Not all birds are as precious as Pickle, but if you're ever having a bad day and in need of a boost, just scroll through his videos, and you'll instantly feel as good as he does!
