Netflix Quietly Canceled One of Its Most-Watched Shows
Just last month audiences learned that Netflix hit The Lincoln Lawyer would be ending after five seasons despite increased viewership from Season 1 to Season 2.
Series developer Ted Humphrey and co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez addressed the decision in a statement, promising fans "the satisfying finale Mickey Haller deserves."
"All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us. From the very beginning, the mission was always not only to tell the story of Mickey Haller and his compatriots, but also to give that story a proper conclusion," the said in a statement.
'The Lincoln Lawyer' Was One of the Most-Watched Shows
The series appeared on the Netflix Global Top 10 charts for 29 weeks across its four seasons and has garnered 171 million views since 2023, per Deadline.
Its most recent fourth season launched with nine million views for its opening weekend, which is actually up over the third season's debut performance of seven million becoming a rare show that increases viewership in subsequent seasons.
Now it's just one of 17 shows ending for the streaming platform in 2026.

It also confirmed the end of five other shows:
- Alpha Males
- Breathless
- The Night Agent
- The Lincoln Lawyer
- Survival of the Thickest
Netflix estimated that the first four seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer contributed over $425 million to the Californian economy, employing over 4,300 cast and crew, and filming at over 50 different locations across Los Angeles.
Now it's headed for a conclusion with the fifth season.
