Rock Hill debs presented May 28
The 2015-16 debutante season began with a tea at the home of Mrs. Mark David Thomas. The season ended with the presentation of six young women at the annual Rock Hill Debutante Club Ball May 28 at the Rock Hill Country Club, with music provided by the band The Extraordinaires.
Mrs. Frederick William Faircloth III, debutante club president, and Mrs. Charles Baxter Burnette III, ball chairman, received guests as they arrived. Mrs. Dewitte Gray McIntyre, this year’s ball dignitary, introduced the debutantes, their escorts and marshals.
The debutantes presented are:
Sarah Edens Eddy, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harold Nelson Eddy, was presented by her mother and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Joseph Nelson Eddy and Christopher Alan Taylerson Jr. She attends the University of South Carolina.
Meredith Grace Hatchett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph William Hatchett Jr. was presented by her mother, and escorted by her father. Her marshals were William Edwin Webb IV and Lloyd Tripp Barringer III. She attends Clemson University.
Rachel Elizabeth Holliday, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Marcus Henson Jr. was presented by her grandmother, Mrs. Howard Hampton Wright Sr. and escorted by her stepfather, Billy Marcus Henson Jr. Her marshals were Richard Webb White and Charles Banks Good. She attends Shenandoah University.
Lauren Grace Page, daughter of Jennifer Elliott Page, was presented by her great aunt, Susan Hollis Moore and escorted by her grandfather Herman Keith Elliott. Her marshals were Matthew Allen Munday and Christopher Michael Jones. She attends the University of South Carolina.
Sara Marie Simpson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abel Ragan Simpson, was presented by her aunt Mrs. Frank Edwin Coleman III, and escorted by her father. Her marshals were James Clayton Simpson and Michael Jones Simpson. She attends Winthrop University.
Sara Catherine Tiedeman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Wells Tiedeman, was presented by her grandmother, Mrs. Walter Probst Tiedeman III and escorted by her father. Her marshals were Andrew Walter Tiedeman and Jackson Wells Tiedeman. She attends UNC Charlotte.
The 2016 charitable contribution of The Debutante Club of Rock Hill will benefit the York County Free Clinic.
