See where the most expensive property sales just happened in York, Lancaster, Chester

York County

Industrial buildings, apartments, homes and raw land make up the biggest recent property sales in the Rock Hill region area.

County land records show more than 20 sales at $1 million or more in August from York, Chester and Lancaster counties. They combine for a little more than $100 million in sales.

Here’s a look at what properties changed hands in August:

Two Rock Hill commercial properties sold for $32.5 million on Aug. 26. The sites combine for about 31 acres at Waterford Park and Overlook drives, on the opposite side of Waterford Golf Club from the Catawba River. The 1800 Overview Dr. site includes a more than 178,000-square-foot industrial building built in 1997. The 1778 Overview Dr. site has an almost 75,000-square-foot industrial building constructed last year. BAC/Calare Rock Hill out of Massachusetts bought both sites.

More than 14 acres of apartment buildings in Rock Hill sold Aug. 19 for $28.6 million. The 10 apartment buildings at 795 Patriot Parkway were built in 1998. RG Patriots Crossing out of Omaha, Nebraska bought the two-story apartment buildings and clubhouse at about 135,000 combined square feet.

Mai Properties in Rock Hill bought the 35,000-square-foot industrial building at 1510 Cedar Line Dr. on Aug. 23 for $9 million. It’s the same building Eclipse Automation Holdings bought for $4.2 million in 2018. The Rock Hill building on more than six acres was built in 2000.

Almost 114 acres at 1371 Barringer Road in Rock Hill sold Aug. 30 for almost $4.6 million. The residential property has a home at less than 1,000 square feet, built in 1949. An investment company out of Orlando bought the site.

Two Marvin Meadows Road properties in Indian Land sold Aug. 8 for almost $2.9 million. They combine for about 37 acres. One of the properties, the main site at 675 Marvin Meadows, includes a home built in 1998. The residential land is between Stacy Howie and Shelley Mullis roads.

Carolina Pinewoods bought 315 acres in Lancaster County from Little River Timber on Aug. 25 for almost $2.9 million. The site is off Stone Road, south of West End Drive. The same buyer bought two more properties from the same seller the same day, this time for $2.2 million. Those two parcels combine for 695 acres, near the prior site.

Almost 2 acres at 4396 Pageland Hwy. in Lancaster County sold Aug. 5 for almost $1.8 million. FDI Postal Properties out of Maryland bought the site near Rocky River Road.

The almost 19,000-square-foot warehouse at 520 Mt. Gallant Road in Rock Hill sold Aug. 6 for $1.7 million. Charlotte-based CSDC bought the more than 4-acre site. The distribution site dates back to 1972.

Almost 4 acres of vacant commercial property in Fort Mill sold Aug. 19 for almost $1.7 million. The 505 Theydon Bend property is beside the CVS pharmacy at Springfield Parkway and U.S. 21 Bypass, across from Captain Steve’s seafood restaurant. Twas Properties out of Georgia bought the site.

A Windward Drive home in Tega Cay sold Aug. 23 for $1.6 million. The same two-story, 1994 construction home sold for just more than $1 million last year and $740,000 in 2017.

A Palm Tree Cove home on Spratt Road in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 31 for $1.6 million. That price is almost double what it initially sold for in 2007.

An almost 7,000-square-foot home on Aqua Point Drive in Lake Wylie sold Aug. 16 for almost $1.6 million.

An Illinois company bought 16 residential properties in York for $1.5 million on Aug. 5. The project is The Landing at White Rose. It’s at McFarland Road and Pickering Place, just off Liberty Street.

More than 15 acres of vacant commercial property in Fort Mill sold Aug. 19 for almost $1.5 million. The Lakemont Business Park site sold to a company in Alabama. The site is between I-77 and Steele Point Drive.

On Aug. 9, 17 residential properties on Baileys Run Drive in Rock Hill sold for more than $1.3 million. The Baileys Run sites bought by H&H Constructors of Fayetville out of Raleigh are off Hands Mill Highway, near Mt. Gallant Road.

Five commercial properties in Tega Cay sold Aug. 10 for $1.3 million. Each includes a 1,200-square-foot office condo built last year. West Columbia-based Jobserve SC Holdings bought the sites. They’re on Stonecrest Boulevard, across from Walmart and near Hubert Graham Way.

A 3,400-square-foot home on Buckner Hill Lane in the Springfield neighborhood of Fort Mill sold Aug. 12 for more than $1.2 million.

A 5,600-square-foot home on Small Batch Path in Fort Mill, in Masons Bend, sold Aug. 25 for more than $1.1 million.

Two properties at a combined 289 acres in Lancaster County sold Aug. 16 for more than $1.1 million. The Twitty Mill Road sites are in Heath Springs, west of Flat Rock Road. Pebblestone Land and Timber out of Charlotte bought the site.

A 2,100-square-foot Tega Cay home on Cattail Bluff sold Aug. 9 for more than $1 million.
