Carowinds’ international festival offers public a chance to experience new cultures
The Grand Carnivale will return to Carowinds this weekend.
Starting Saturday and ending July 9, the 14-day international festival will be back for its third consecutive year. The festivities will not be held on Tuesdays.
The event serves as a celebration of cultures, immersing guests with food, sounds and sights from around the world.
Per the press release, guests can get 15 different dishes from “China, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Each country’s menu presents three authentic culinary creations.”
Each day will culminate in the Spectacle of Color parade held at 8 p.m.
The parade features 80 performers and seven floats provided by Kern Studios of New Orleans. One of the floats also will feature eight select Carowinds guests.
Should any rain or other inclement weather occur at the park during the day, only the Spectacle of Color parade will be canceled.
The food stands and other happenings will be available for enjoyment.
